Located in a farmland, tucked far away from the city and originally designed by an architect as her residence in the 90s, this home’s architecture looked inspired from Spanish villas.
When designing the home, our aim was to create a bright, airy space, where one could unwind. We wanted to keep traditional elements of Spanish influence in materials like the terracotta tile and beams but also bring updated elements to the home that show both the importance of beautiful materials and casual living. The pallete was kept simple and raw. Limewash paint, raw wood and locally sourced quartzite stone were used to create the shell. The furniture, rugs, and art were layered in a way to create a warm and relaxing spaces .
